GIS – Is it Driving us or being Driven?
GIS though termed as a tool for mapping and analyzing things that exist in and around us. Is it fully explored to have better information on its existence and importance?
Hence the above subject is a front runner in today’s cutting edge world, whether it’s driving us or being driven. Definitely with the current scenarios around us, I would say it’s being driven by us to make our lives more informative than ever before.
A common man from a country side is aware of a portion of GIS. Thanks to the technology, IT companies are striving hard to give more and more information to the end user, in the form of LBS.
LBS a boon to the mankind as immerged as an information center for anyone and everyone bound to it.
Technology is vast/fast spreading like a wild fire, where days are gone, when ideas remained an idea, now ideas are being executed to an extent where you can find a friend in & around a shopping area, whom you would have met years ago, off course that’s possible only when you have subscribed or added a friend under the scheme that delivers these info to you.
GIS maps the base of all information for all sectors, is changing the world with its graphical representation and detailing. When these data’s are integrated with an application you have an enterprises level solution.
Finally to conclude GIS is being driven in a right direction to obtain more and more information by the end user seating at one place.
Your feed-backs would be appreciated
