A geological map is a special-variety map created to show geological features. Rock formation is shown by thematic (color) or symbols to indicate surface coverage. Structural elements are shown with strike and dip symbols which consist of a long line, a number, and a short line which are used to indicate tilted (Deskew) beds. The long line is the strike line, which shows the true horizontal direction along the bed, the number is the dip or number of degrees of tilt above horizontal, and the short line is the dip ...

GIS though termed as a tool for mapping and analyzing things that exist in and around us. Is it fully explored to have better information on its existence and importance?
Hence the above subject is a front runner in today’s cutting edge world, whether it’s driving us or being driven. Definitely with the current scenarios around us, I would say it’s being driven by us to make our lives more informative than ever before.
A common man from a country side is aware of a portion of GIS. Thanks to the technology, ...

Usually boolean values are stored as bit fields in database tables. If we require only a few boolean values to be stored in the table, it would be good to have them as separate bit fields. But consider when we want to store some series of boolean values in the database; I have good idea to avoid creating fields for each of such boolean values in the table. For example, choosing weekdays, months in a scheduling kind of problems, attendance for 8 hours of a day in school/college management applications, ...

In Sql server, we cannot manipulate with comma (,) separated string values in the ‘IN’ option of the WHERE clause.
In this article, Let us see how a solution can be provided for this requirement.
Example:
The below query results in error,
“Conversion failed when converting the varchar value ‘8, 9, 2, 12, 13, 58, 56, 57, 53, 54, 71, 69, 70, 269′ to data type int”
For that we need to convert the comma separated values into a table through the given query.
Declare @ids varchar(max)
select @ids='8, 9, 2, 12, 13, 58, 56, 57, 53, ...

The Visual Basic.Net doesn’t contain the refactoring which is one of the major advantages for the C# programmers. Often I miss the Encapsulate Field feature in VB.Net which helps us for geneting public properties of a class and associated Get & Set methods. Initially I had a thought of doing a code fragment in VB.Net for parsing private data members and automatically generating public properties along with their Set and Get methods.
The hardcore requirement of encapsulation (in Re-factoring) of private members with public properties comes in the Entity class in ...
